Chapter I  The Features of Vibration stress relief

Vibration stress relief is increasingly applied to processing in machining which is determined by the features of Vibration stress relief itself and proven to be effective by long-period practice at site. Compared with traditional natural aging and heat aging, Vibration stress relief boasts such features as followings:

◆ Better stress relieving effect

It is proven by a large amount of studies and practices in application that Vibration stress relief, with a substantially similar effect to that of electric furnaces, brings a better effect than that of aging furnaces which require burning coals, heavy oil or gas, because it not only tackles the difficulty of uneven stress relieving caused by uneven temperature in the aging furnace, but avoids negative effect that the workpieces’ resistance to deformation by heating. Therefore, the workpieces processed by Vibration stress relief are at least 30% stabler in size than that by general heat aging.

◆  Less investment, more economic and practical

It generally costs 20 to 80 thousand yuan RMB to purchase the equipment of Vibration stress relief and it can process several hundred tons of workpieces. But it will cost several hundred thousand yuan RMB to build a large-scale aging furnace for processing large workpieces, and at the same time with a a large footprint, the furnace is not flexible. When the number of workpiece requiring process is too small, it would be not worthwhile to run it, while it is also embarrassing when the piece is too huge to be put in.   

◆More adaptable

    The utilizing of Vibration stress relief is not subject to such limitations as the site, size, shape and weight. Since the equipment of Vibration stress relief weights only a few dozen kilograms, it can process the large piece on the spot. In the meantime, aging treatment can be arranged between different machining procedures according to different process requirements.
